This was my first time at Hype Hair Studio. Kayla was a very talented hairstylist. She recommended a color and cut and I was so happy with the outcome. I absolutely love it. She made me feel very comfortable and we were able to get to know each other. I would totally recommend Kayla for a highlight or color/cut. She is very knowledgeable in her industry. I was even able to have the chance to meet the owner Kris. She was very friendly and welcoming as well. Great Location!

Kayla at The Hype Hair Studio did an AMAZING job on my Balayage and trim. I struggle with hair loss, and she helped me pick a style/cut that would make my hair appear thicker. She is very professional and talented, but also SO fun and sweet! Kayla was super knowledgable and was eager to answer my questions about toners, bleaching etc. The salon in general has become my all time favorite. I love the atmosphere and how fun & talented everyone is!

8 weeks ago I had the best day. I’ve never felt more confident with the hairstyle my Hairstylist gave me.. I am new to salons and I don’t know how long I can go in between color/ cuts so we just scheduled an 8 week appointment before I left the salon and she told me she would call to see if I wanted to keep the appointment or move it back further.. I never got a call and forgot all about it because I haven’t noticed a need to color or cut my hair. There was no confirmation of the appointment other than 8 weeks ago. I was told I should’ve received and email and when I went looking it was in my spam for some reason so I never saw it nor did I ever confirm. I received a call after the 15 minutes into the appointment and was reminded of the no show policy which I maybe read when I scheduled the very first appointment which was more than 8 weeks ago. I loved the environment and I loved my hairstylist and I just don’t think it is fair that I am charged 75% of the service when I never confirmed. I think it was very unprofessional of the establishment to still hold me to the high standard of the cancellation policy when there was no communication. Communication is when both parties speak, not when I get an email in my spam folder. And now I am disappointed In the company and myself for now having to find a new salon when it is so hard for me to trust people with my hair. I don’t know if this is fixable. I am truly embarrassed that I wasted my hairstylists time. I think there should be a conversation of the appointment or if you see it on your end that a client hasn’t confirmed maybe check in and see why it hasn’t been confirmed. I truly was happy with my first experience at The Hype and was hoping to become a regular client. Unfortunately the circumstances have complicated those plans.

I’ve been going to Kayla for several months now and always leave happy! She does a great job with both my color and my cut. Kayla is friendly, kind and has a great positive attitude. At one appointment, we will chat the whole time and another sit in stretches of silence and it’s never awkward and I don’t feel pressured to talk. I know other introverts will appreciate that! I’d recommend Kayla for all your hair needs!

I met Kayla in January 2023. I was looking for someone who was not only an amazing hairstylist but someone that was skilled in hair extensions. I can honestly say, after wearing hair extensions off and on for many years, I have never experienced someone as skilled as her. I look forward to seeing her! She is fun AND amazingly talented in all that she does… from coloring to cutting to placing extensions!

Such a great Salon! Moved to northern NM a couple of years ago and was picky about who would cut my hair due to having issues with alopecia. Let me tell you, Zaida was the best and I am so lucky she was my stylist. Great conversations, really took the time to hear what I was wanting and by the end of my hair cut and style I felt so pampered and cared for! Thank you so much! Add on: The whole salon was very clean and had such a great vibe and esthetic :)

Kayla is absolutely PHENOMENAL! She nailed the cut and style I was wanting! My hair was super long for such a long time, so I was so nervous about cutting it short but decided to go for it…well Kayla did not disappoint! She was very knowledgeable, gave me her opinion on what would look best, explained what she was going to do before she did it, and throughout the entire process she would also check to make sure I was okay with everything so far, before proceeding. She made me feel SO at ease! Seriously, she’s the BEST hairstylist I have EVER used! Not to mention she is super sweet and so personable! I just met her and feel like I have known her for years :)
